Also to the person who asked about essays: Marilyn Frye has a wonderful article called "Oppression". It is an easy read compared to most philosophical papers. In fact, Frye is pretty easy to understand period, in comparison, and would probably be a good place to look. Also, Audre Lorde who writes heavily about gender inequality and intersection with racial inequality.
