I am the person who talked about the horrible customer a few days ago. Just read the thebadmamajama rant. Tried to go to their blog but was blocked. I agree with l your points. They act as if you have campaigned against rights on other continents, I don't see that. They made snap judgments about me too. I'm not a submissive type, I have trouble thinking quickly in hostile environments. I can be over bearing and way too loud, I speak out about -isms & in defense of ppl I know when not threatened.
Also, that guy isn’t always a douche, he was nice to his date, and I talked to the guy who sold him tickets and he was normal with him. So he was sexist and classist, nice to the woman he was with, mean to the ‘girl’ who is working in the service industry. And, I realize I AM instructed to ‘take it’. By the company I work for, just like so many companies tell their employees: the customer is always right, even if they’re an asshole, their dollar is more important than your dignity and humanity.
