I am presenting my senior thesis this spring about the erotica of Anais Nin. Because of some of the subject matter in the pieces, I was thinking about putting a trigger warning before my presentation. However, since these presentation panels tend to not have large crowds, I am not sure if it is appropriate. Should I go ahead and add one, or ask the director of the program if she thinks one would be necessary?
I can’t possibly give you a direct answer to this as I don’t really know the protocol at your educational institute, I suggest you go ahead and ask the director of the program her opinion on the matter, and perhaps the opinion of some other faculty members.
